Sydney Adventist Chamber Orchestra

Who We Are
The Sydney Adventist Chamber Orchestra is a community non-profit church orchestra comprised of musicians within the Greater Sydney region. We specialise in music which can be used during worship services, but are not solely limited to sacred music.

We are always looking for new members, especially stringed, woodwind and lower brass players. We aim to perform three times per year, though we wish to increase this to four.

The Sydney Adventist Chamber Orchestra (SACO) performed as guest artists in the annual Hymnfest at Memorial Church in Cooranbong, 2008; the 50th Anniversary of Wahroonga church in 2008 and at Parramatta church as part of a special afternoon program.

Our Mission
The SACO is considered a ministry and its mission is to serve others, our churches and glorify God through music, whilst allowing musicians to do so within a community of believers.  We gladly welcome anyone who is not of the same faith to join the orchestra.
• We aim to create quality music
• To create opportunities for talented church musicians
• To perform more around the Sydney churches
• To become familiar with varieties of repertoire

We always welcome expressions of interest from prospective members. Please pass on the news about the orchestra to all your friends and family who might benefit from joining. Please contact Lesley Cid on sydapo@gmail.com or Dulce Ferguson by phone 9868 6522 or email DulceFerguson@adventist.org.au. Please complete the membership form on the link Member information.

Future Events
SACO will be performing at Wetheril Park Spanish Church on 30 May as part of a special divine service. You can come and support the orchestra during the divine service, 11am at Cnr of Rossetti and Mansfield St, Wetheril Park.
